Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 28, 2026
This policy covers the people who use Verdwoven and the people who book through the websites we build. It says what information we collect, what we do with it, who we share it with, and how to exercise your privacy rights in the United States.
1. Who we are and what this covers
Verdwoven operates verdwoven.com and the tools behind it: the questionnaire, the owner dashboard, the booking system and the websites we build and host for US landscaping and lawn care businesses. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have under US law. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
It does not cover what a business does with your information on its own website. Each site we build belongs to that business, and its owner decides how to use the details you give them.
2. Information you give us
When you sign up or use the dashboard, you give us: your name, phone number and email; your business name, address and service area; your services, hours and description; your logo, photos and social links; the design you choose; your domain choice; the content you want on your business card and flyer; your work projects; your questions and support messages; and the website content you ask us to change.
Payment is handled by our payment processor. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed and the last four digits of the card, but we do not receive or store full card numbers.
3. Information collected automatically
When you visit our pages, our servers log basic technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you open, and the referring site. We also store small items in your browser's local storage — your language choice, your questionnaire progress, and a cached copy of your website preview — so the service remembers where you left off.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party ad networks on our pages.
4. People who book through a website we built
When someone books an appointment on a landscaping website we host, we collect what they type: usually name, phone number, email, address or ZIP code, the service they want, and the date and time they asked for. We use it to deliver the booking, to check that the business serves that area, and to stop spam and fake requests.
We hold this information for the business owner, who can see and manage bookings in their dashboard and ask us to remove them. If you booked through a landscaping site and want your details deleted, email us and tell us the business name and the date of your booking, or contact the business directly.
5. How we use information
We only send you marketing messages when you have asked for them, and every one includes a way to stop them.
- Build, publish and maintain your website and domain
- Take bookings, check service areas and send appointment reminders
- Bill you, issue records and answer support requests
- Generate website copy, local articles and branding drafts from your answers
- Detect and prevent spam, fraud, abuse and security problems
- Meet legal, tax and accounting obligations
- Improve the service and tell you about changes that affect you
6. Who we share it with
We share information with the service providers that make the service work: hosting and database providers, our payment processor, our domain registrar, content delivery and font providers, email delivery, and AI model providers. They may use information only to do the job we hired them for.
We may also share it with professional advisors, with a company that buys or merges with ours, when we are required by a valid legal request such as a court order or subpoena, or with your consent. We do not sell personal information, we do not accept payment for it, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Your rights under US state privacy laws
If you are a US resident, you can ask us to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or give you a portable copy of it. You can also object to certain processing, ask us to limit use of sensitive information, withdraw consent, and not be treated differently for exercising these rights. Because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, no opt-out link is needed.
To make a request, email Hello@verdwoven.com or call +1 (541) 697-4965. We will verify your identity with information you already have with us, such as the email or phone on your account, and may ask for one more detail. You may use an authorized agent with your written permission. We answer within 45 days and may extend once by another 45 days; we will tell you if we do. You may make two free requests in a 12-month period. If we refuse a request, we will explain why and you can ask us to review that decision.
8. California notice at collection
For California residents: within the last 12 months we have collected identifiers (name, phone, email, address), commercial information (what you buy from us and your subscription status), internet or other electronic network activity (pages viewed, device and IP data), geolocation that is approximate and based on IP, and audio or visual content you send us, such as photos.
We collect it directly from you, from your device, and from our payment processor and domain registrar, for the purposes listed above. We do not collect sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, and we do not sell or share any of these categories.
9. How long we keep it
We keep account and website information while you subscribe. After you cancel, we keep it for up to 30 days so you can reactivate without losing your work, then delete or permanently remove it from live systems. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Booking details stay with the business owner, who can delete them at any time. Backups age out on a rolling schedule.
10. How we protect it
We use HTTPS with TLS in transit, encrypted storage, role-based access limited to staff who need it, and monitoring for unusual activity. No method of storage is completely safe, so we cannot promise absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and any authority the law requires, without undue delay.
11. Children
Our service is for businesses, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16, and we do not direct our websites at them. If you believe a child has given us information, email Hello@verdwoven.com and we will delete it.
12. Where information is processed
We are a US business and our systems are in the United States. If you visit us from outside the US, your information is transferred to and processed in the US.
13. What business owners must do
If you subscribe to Verdwoven, tell your own customers how you use the details they send you, use bookings only for the appointment requested, keep the information you give us accurate, and send marketing texts or emails only where the law allows.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version. If we make a material change, we will tell you by email or with a clear notice in your dashboard before it takes effect.
